With the arrival of INTENCITY, a brand new fitness experience recently launched at Park Road Pools and Fitness, you can now get your fitness hit in only 30-minutes. These high intensity classes provide the most efficient training experience and will leave your metabolism increased and still burning calories hours after the class. That means you will get a full body workout for maximum impact in the shortest amount of time.

You vs Your Personal Best
There are a variety of classes on offer to help you meet your own personal goals, from INTENCITY Boxfit, INTENCITY Cycle, INTENCITY Strength and more. You have the option to track your heart rate with a heart rate monitor which can be purchased at the fitness centre. Your heart rate is displayed on the flat screen monitor in the training room, making it easy to maintain your optimal training heart rate during the sessions. Your hard work won’t go unnoticed when it’s being accurately measured by the heart rate system.

INTENCITY Class Descriptions

Training designed to retain your heart rate above 80% of its maximum for the duration of the class! It is a combination of cardiovascular and explosive full body exercises delivered in a circuit or group training format.

INTENCITY Cardio & Abs
Training designed to increase your heart rate to in excess of 80% of its maximum & reduce it to less than 70% of its maximum alternately. This is normally delivered in a circuit format where the core exercise selection allows the heart rate to fall / recover.
• Normalises blood pressure
• Improves cardiovascular function
• Reduces body fat
• Improves cholesterol profile
• Improves fitness

Train as a professional fighter without the contact! 50% of the class using the focus pads, 25% of the class using the punch bag & 25% sport specific strength & conditioning
• Improves neural function (co-ordination)
• Increased calorific expenditure

40 seconds (approx. 6 – 8 reps) per station designed to improve full body strength & stability
